Well Hello There! I’m Glad You’re Here!
My name is Elijah List, and I am a 24-year-old currently living in the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex.
Born and raised in Louisiana, southern hospitality is in my blood. My small, rural hometown (Springhill, La) will always be a special place to me, simply because it taught me many life lessons. This picturesque town taught me how to appreciate a local, main-street community and just how important small businesses are to growing and sustaining areas. More importantly, it taught me the importance of brand loyalty and community engagement.
So, what am I doing in DFW?
I graduated in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Strategic Communication, a major focus in Public Relations, and a minor in Promotional Management from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (UL). Alongside my normal coursework, I was a proud member of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) and Founding Father/President for Delta Tau Delta Fraternity’s Epsilon Psi Chapter.
In these memberships, I held leadership roles that taught me many skills not only applicable to life, but also to effectively maintain relationships with audiences of all constructs.
Currently, I’m employed by Compass Group- USA (Eurest) as the [external] Marketing/Communications Manager or [internal] Customer Experience Manager, if you will. In this role, my primary objectives are to manage marketing efforts, coordinate Regional Engagement Activities, and overall customer experience across Charles Schwab’s [Client] corporate offices within the United States.
My previous tenure includes luxury hospitality, food and beverage, non-profit and boutique retail marketing, and public relations roles. Through it all, my joy has been to tell my employer/clients stories of their products or offerings and engage their audience in mutually beneficial relationships.
I consider myself a creative storyteller – where YOU have a message and I have the creativity! My passion lies in being able to tell the story of why an organization is special and how its audiences can take part in its special place within the market.
The daily variance of the communication field calls me to this industry. Having a PR and social practitioner who can adapt to the ever-changing world we live in is half the solution – the other half is having one with my personality and passion to get the job done.
So what are we waiting for?
